Just My Type
Modern pop and soul, played sharp.
Just My Type are a five-piece pop band with female lead vocals, backing vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums. The set covers modern pop, soul and rock, with backing tracks used selectively to fill out the arrangements. Repertoire is deliberately weighted toward recognisable, dance-floor-ready material.
West Midlands-based and available nationwide, the band met studying music at BIMM and have since performed at venues including the O2 Institute Birmingham, Rock City Nottingham and the Cavern Club Liverpool, with recording time at Abbey Road Studios. Festival appearances include Y Not, Truck and the Isle of Wight, with airplay on BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, BBC Introducing and Radio X.
Standard format is two 60-minute sets or three 40-minute sets with full PA, lighting and a playlist DJ service. Add an acoustic daytime set or an extra 30-minute evening set, and upgrade to a manned DJ if requests are needed.
